Abbey & Daniel’s Chateau Yaldara wedding in the beautiful Barossa Valley

Abbey & Daniel’s Chateau Yaldara wedding in the beautiful Barossa Valley

Take a look at this gorgeous Barossa Valley wedding, captured by The Ivory Story. Abbey and Daniel made some quick decisions, picking the first venue they saw, and Abbey purchasing the first dress she tried on! We can say they have impeccable taste and instincts though, as their day turned out perfectly!
Focussing on a relaxed, fun day without too many formalities and traditions, Abbey and Daniel’s wedding planning philosophy was to relax and enjoy the ride – they say don’t sweat the small stuff! Photographers and Videographers The Ivory Story get a special shout out from this couple, who say they received nothing but compliments from everyone ion the day about them. They even went out of their way to surprise Abbey with a photo of her daughter holding her wedding dress – truly going above and beyond for this couple!

Bride and the Brae – Adelaide Hills Styled Wedding Shoot

Bride and the Brae – Adelaide Hills Styled Wedding Shoot

Sometimes, it’s hard to understand wedding suppliers. They’ve just come off the most hectic wedding season EVER, and have given their all so that clients (most of whom have had some sort of disruption to their plans) can have the most wonderful wedding day possible. So you’d think that most suppliers would take an opportunity to switch off, take a break and get away from weddings for a while.

Well, not these guys! They decide to keep creating magic and getting creative so couples like you have event more inspiration to draw from. And thank goodness the did because look at the gorgeous styled shoot that Little Car Photography and a bunch of other suppliers have brought us today.

Laura, the creative brains behind event styling company Minty Mary Pea, describes the shoot:

“‘Bride and The Brae’ was a concept largely inspired by the character and history of the property on which it was set. Copper Smelters used to bustle with production on the site in it’s past life, and the long wood barn was constructed with bricks made from a by-product of the smelting process. The newly exposed brick walls boast a myriad of shimmering greys and greens, latticed with a warm maple grout. The colour palette for the dining setting was directly inspired by these tones, with olive and mocha linens, matte black and stone tableware and amber glass, adorned with dried autumn leaf installations atop the table and suspended above.

The shoot embraced the darkness of winter with black featuring heavily in all details on the day, from the ceremony, table-setting, stationery and cake table, to the black cane lounges set against the rendered stone walls. The ceremony was set inside, leading our bride down an aisle framed with a sea of suspended light bulbs and black netting. Wire stands overflowing with candles lit the ground and reflected up from the polished concrete floor.

Our bride muse wore a simple and elegant long sleeved gown, embellished with an autumn inspired belt and hairpiece, and held a rambling bouquet of dried oak leaves, bracken and natives, paired with toffee roses and cascading amaranthus.”

This shoot is full of rustic, industrial vibes and we hope it provides you with inspo for your own wedding day. Make sure you check out this highlights video too, by the insanely talented Movement Productions.

Ellie + Jake’s Moonta Bay Wedding

We get tonnes of real wedding submissions from talented Adelaide wedding photographers each week. Do you know what stands out from the crowd? It’s not the most obviously expensive wedding, or the one that features the most on-trend details. The weddings that catch our eye are the ones that clearly tell a story of who the couple is. The ones that express individuality; making us feel like we know this couple without ever having met them.
That’s why we’re bringing you Ellie and Jake’s delightful Yorke Penninsula wedding. Their personalities, their individuality and their love shines right out of these photos. From the abundant native florals to their stunning outfits and the wedding transport, this wedding just screams ‘Ellie and Jake!’
There was a butterfly release, fur baby Gus acted as ring bearer and the couple’s youngest daughter Haliah stole the show when she walked down the aisle ahead of her mum.
We get the feeling this wedding could only have been dreamed up by this couple, and in our eyes there’s nothing more special than a personalised reflection of your love. We’ll let Lucinda May Photography’s amazing images speak for themselves…
