It’s true – you can have an intimate wedding NOT because of COVID! Ellen & Stefan always wanted a small wedding, they say it enabled them to enjoy every moment of the day and spend meaningful time with the guests they chose to invite. After meeting in 2014, these two have blossomed as a couple and still get butterflies when they see each other! Stefan asked Ellen to marry him in February 2020 and they planned their beautiful wedding day in just 7 months, gradually confirming plans as restrictions eased. They chose Golden Island Lookout for their ceremony and Almonta Lodge for the reception to fit perfectly with what they had imagined for their wedding day. In fact they loved their Eyre Penninsula wedding so much they have now moved to the region to live! The couple decided early on they would spend a large portion of their wedding budget on the perfect photographer – judging by these images by Renni Maitland, it was money well spent!

Oh my we had a fun day on Sunday, 21st March – our first fair post-COVID! All our vendors were raring to go and meet you face to face for the first time in a long time, in a funky new venue in the middle of Adelaide.
Our highlight? We can’t decide if it was the stunning fashion parade which showcased local models, designers, gown boutiques and hair and make up gurus, or the gorgeous array of stalls which our vendors put so much effort into, or the endless knowledge that was shared in our informal workshops run by some of the best women in our industry!
If we had to choose though, the highlight was definitely seeing your smiling faces, chatting with our suppliers, swapping ideas and being inspired and generally getting excited about your wedding planning. So thank YOU for being the best part of our wedding fair, you make it all worthwhile!
Enjoy these snaps of our day, and scroll down for the full list of suppliers you met on that sunny Sunday in March. See you again soon!

Every time we receive one of these gorgeous shoots from a fave supplier, we have to wonder, where do they get the time?! Case in point: This beauty that landed in our inbox courtesy of Mel, from Melissa Brown Photographer and Sara, of legendary Barossa flower/coffee house Fleur Social. This shoot features no less than 15 different suppliers which is no mean feat to organise, yet the images tell the story of a relaxed and intimate wedding day that could easily be a true love story! Mel says that organising shoots like this (on top of running a busy photography business and capturing gorgeous weddings!) is like food for the creative soul. “When Sara and I work together we always want to create because it feeds us! Being able to provide something visually different really pushes us. Sara and I really wanted to just bring things back to basics (with a twist) for this shoot. We were going for a Modern Romantic look, a beautiful clean palette with lots of textured details.” We love the subtle elegance, muted tones and fabulously clever use of texture here which give an effortless vibe. We hope you enjoy the fruits of the shoot team’s creative labour!
