Well who would like a break from doom and gloom? Happy to help – immerse yourself in this delightfully sunny and gorgeous Adelaide Hills wedding, photographed by Emma Faith Photography.
Alexia and Shane met via… drumroll… Tinder! Yay, we love a modern romance story (because heaven knows we’ve heard some shocking Tinder date stories!) They didn’t rush into anything; Shane event spent 9 months picking out the perfect engagement ring before arranging a surprise proposal on Kangaroo Island (bonus points for keeping it local, mate!).
These nuptials are the perfect mix of modern and traditional, thoughtful and fun, loving and cheeky. We love that both Alexia’s parents walked her down the aisle, the traditional first dance that morphed into a choreographed masterpiece, and the intimate 63-person guest list that meant their day was personal and relaxed.
Shane will tell you that even if you’re super keen to get married those last minute nerves might kick in; perhaps that’s why the videographer’s mic picked him up muttering “Can everyone just f*&king sit down” right before Alexia arrived! Don’t worry, it didn’t make the final wedding video cut!
This couple’s advice? Sneak out for a few sunset photos and have a minute to yourselves to 1. breathe and 2. chat about your amazing day and just be together. Given the current global situation, this might just be the best advice we’ve heard for a while.
