Adelaide Beach Wedding Inspo – We Eloped!

Adelaide Beach Wedding Inspo – We Eloped!

Wow, wow, wow! Some of Adelaide’s top wedding vendors really do have fun when they’re not bringing wedding day dreams to life! This styled shoot really shows that these vendors live and breathe what they do – even when they’re not actually working on weddings, they’re dreaming up beautiful beach inspiration like this for all you engaged loved-up couples! Shoot coordinator, Jenna of Wonderland Invites, described for us how this shoot came to be:

Living in Glenelg provides so much inspiration – from the beach walks and sand-dunes, to the wooden timbers of the jetty. I’m also obsessed with elopements at the moment…coming from the UK where elopements are less common due to the legalities of marrying outdoors, I was so keen to curate a styled elopement; focusing on beautiful styling and gorgeous couple portraits. I approached Emily from Ever After Event Hire after seeing her work on a shoot a couple of months previous. Emily is fantastic and has such a keen eye for both the bigger and smaller picture. She recommended Amanda from Flowers in Nature, as we were keen to stick to a dried flower vibe – Amanda’s work is amazing, and I was so thrilled she was able to come on board. Emily and Amanda styled a gorgeous naked tipi, a sweetheart table for two and a beautiful arbour aisle.

The team was small but mighty with myself providing stationery, Natasha Keneally on makeup, Laura from The Bride Lab lending a gorgeous Rue de Seine gown and denim jacket, and Richelle Casson shooting the day. I lent jewellery from The Vamoose, which paired beautifully with the slip on the East gown that Alecia wore. I was so pleased that Alecia and Luke, a real couple, were able to join us as their joy and love for one another just radiated. And despite the wind and slight rain, the shoot went off without a hitch!

Christie & Ash

When it comes to your dream wedding, simple is often the best! Christie and Ash would have to be in the running for most chill bride and groom of the year; this gorgeous, relaxed wedding day is full of joy but their motto was minimal stress and as little planning as possible!
They nailed a rustic / boho vibe and let their venue the quirky Smiling Samoyed Brewery, be the perfect backdrop to their day. This was the first wedding ever held on the Myponga Reservoir, meaning it was just a short walk over to the reception to kick off the party!
The couple say their photographer Laurence Gibbs was on of the best vendors to deal with, and the beautiful photos speak for themselves! Oh and if you’re wondering if one of the famous smiling Samoyeds makes an appearance? Scroll on down.

Getting married for us meant a celebration of our love and how far we have come as a couple. We wanted to signify our commitment to each other.
