From Moscow, Russia to the Clare Valley, South Australia – there isn’t much further that Regina and Sam could have travelled for love! After meeting in Moscow while Sam was on a world tour and in need of a guide, Regina and Sam clocked up some serious frequent flyer points during their three years of doing the long distance thing.
A truly global couple, these two got engaged in India and then started planning their big day, to be held on Sam’s family property back in SA. Their wedding was a true meeting of cultures – vows in English and Russian, a Russian interpreter for the ceremony and guests that were trying to break down the language barrier with mixed success! Despite the communication challenges, the party lasted well into the night (perhaps the 14 litres of homemade Russian vodka had something to do with that?)
We’ve said it before and will no doubt say it again, but a rainy wedding day doesn’t have to dampen the spirits of your celebrations – would you just look at the divine moments captured by Nadinne Grace Photography with that moody stormy sky for a background? Some extra umbrellas, warm jackets and last minute adjustments to the timings meant this day went off perfectly, despite the summer storms!
“Bringing family and friends together from all corners of the globe and celebrating as one was truly the highlight of our day. Our marriage marks the end to years spent never knowing how we were going to make this work and is the beginning of a new future.”Regina + Sam
