On the 20th May ’15, I’m excited to announce that LCA will be hosting a creative business workshop titled Love Cherish Adore Your Business, afterall, your business deserves to be loved cherished and adored!
This workshop has been work in progress for some time and with the help of Rene Gallagher from The Vintage Bride Boutique and the girls from Market & Style Co, I’m so excited about it actually coming to life.
Like many small businesses, LCA was created for me as a Wife and Mum to be able to be creatively fulfilled within the pockets of time that being that Wife and Mum allows me to be. I don’t consider myself any different from all of the creative small businesses in SA, Australia and the world who do the same. To love what they do.
I’ve worked in the wedding industry for well over 5 years now (prior to that I had a 10 year career in commercial banking) and during this time I’ve learnt alot and made many mistakes. One thing I have learnt over this time is the importance of keeping your enterprise moving forward along with a strong visual marketing strategy. There are many ways to do this without breaking the bank which this workshop will help you to do.
The biggest difference of all from when I first began working in the wedding industry to now is the growing importance of social media and your business presentation both online and in retail, fairs and markets..
You can be the best at what you do but how you present it to your audience both online and in the real world can be make or break. Fact.
The workshop to be held at The Props Department will cover the following:
- Social Media – An introduction into why you should do it, how to do it well and how to save time doing it.
- Branding – Give your business an identity and keep it consistent.
- Photography – Some tips on why it’s important and some tips on how to do your own
- Expo and market presentation – Wow your audience with some kick ass visual merchandising
The day will be fun, informative and motivational suiting any type of creative business within the wedding industry, retail or market scene.
