Freshly wed Kate and Tim celebrated with an intimate wedding in the stunning Clare Valley.
We’ve all heard the phrase that the best things come in small packages and this wedding is no exception. ‘While we were originally planning something quite large we eventually decided to have a small and intimate wedding with just our closest family’ said Kate.
With family links in the Clare Valley, it’s naturally a place that’s close to both their hearts. ‘We chose Velvet and Willow for our ceremony because of the stunning garden that Hamish and his team have created. When the sun starts to go down and the fairy lights come on it’s just magical. We decided on Terroir for our reception because of the incredible food they create and also the intimacy of the venue. I have family history with both locations as my Grandma had worked in both buildings when she was a teenager ‘ said Kate.
Although Peppercorn tree is a weed, Kate has always loved its beautiful ferny foliage and bright red buds. ‘It reminds me of good times visiting my grandparents in the Clare Valley when I was growing up so it was important for me to incorporate the peppercorn as much as possible and combine it with beautiful natives from my parent’s property. We also wanted everything to be simple and minimal to reflect the relaxed, intimate style of the wedding.’
With old world charm and warm fuzzy vibes complete with fine local food and wine, we think you’ll agree that small weddings can be just as impressive as big ones.
