Slightly in shock but deliriously happy, Jo’s response to Mitch’s proposal was ‘ YES, of course, you duffa!’
These two lovers first met at sweet sixteen and thanks to facebook messenger, a few hefty phone bills and a dash of patience, 5 months after they first laid eyes they made things official.
Fast forward to 2016 when Mitch (after some careful planning) popped the question at Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens and some happy tears were shed with friends and family at a nearby pub.
As a family orientated and creative kind of couple, they both instinctively wanted to create a vibe that was the perfect balance of laid-back tradition and weren’t fazed one little bit to get stuck in with some DIY elements for their big day down at Kingsbrook Estate on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
It was also important to them both that they were able as many personal details as possible. ‘Mitchell’s wedding ring was made from the gold of a ring which his late Pa had given to him, coincidentally not long before he suddenly passed away. We also both lit a candle each during our ceremony in honour of our loved ones who have passed.’ said Jo.
You can tell just how deliriously happy they both are as they beam through every single photo captured by Lucinda May Photography which ended with them both giving their guests a display of their finest hip-hop dancing – because that’s how these two roll……!
