We are obsessed with winter weddings. What’s not to love? Moody skies, your pick of amazing vendors (not like that one Saturday in October that EVERYONE wants to book) and no need to worry about sweating through the most expensive dress you’ll ever wear!
Sure, it may pour with rain but your indoor backup ceremony option will be just as gorgeous, and let’s be honest, rain can happen anytime of year.
Check out Dana and Luke’s stunning Barossa Valley wedding if you’re considering winter nuptials – we think you’ll be swayed by the beautiful long sleeve gown, navy and rose gold colour pallet and beautiful outdoor photos that would be full of glare if this was a summer’s day!
Dana and Luke met back in 2010, but it took a few years (and Dana’s absence overseas) for love to blossom. An ‘off-season’ wedding was a given for these two – Dana being in the wedding business herself and Luke a farmer, springtime is always just too busy! Plus Dana had always dreamed of emulating her mum’s beautiful long-sleeve wedding dress – just not practical in the Aussie summer!
With a bridesmaid who also runs a floral business, and herself a cake maker, Dana was savvy with the ins and outs of wedding planning and mostly knew which suppliers she wanted to lock in for her big day. She also kept an eye on LCA and other socials to get ideas for other aspects of the wedding.
The cake and dessert table are definitely drool-worth, as you’d expect from a professional!
